Job Description
Louisiana United Methodist Children and Family Services (LUMCFS) is
seeking applications from qualified individuals capable of
developing and maintaining meaningful and fruitful relationships with
existing donors, new prospects and friends.  Must be willing and able
to be on the road 4 days a week.  Must be computer literate and
capable of mastering Raisers Edge program.  Must be able to comply
with internal accounting procedures.  Must be able to write legibly
using correct grammar.
 
This is a South Louisiana position that will take the successful
applicant from the Pearl River to the Sabine River up to Alexandria. 
You will be sharing this territory with a veteran Development
Officer.  Successful Capital Campaign experience in the $5+ million
range is a plus.  Regular overnight travel to Ruston, Louisiana, is
also required.
 
Additional Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited
college or university with a degree in Business, Public Relations,
Marketing or a related field.  Must be acquainted with the Louisiana
Annual Conference and the United Methodist Church.  Must have three
(3) years responsible experience in public relations, advertising,
broadcasting or a related area.  Master’s degree or post-graduate
training is preferred.

LUMCFS offers paid vacation, sick leave, health insurance premium split
based on years of service and a range of other supplemental benefits at
additional cost.  Starting salary is in the $50,000 range.  Company
